About Jason

Jason Burke was born in London, into a family of artists. His parents met at the Royal College of Art and his father went on to be a set designer for various clients, notably Pink Floyd and their film ‘The Wall’.

Jason Burke studied at Richmond School of Art and then subsequently Epsom School of Art.

After college Jason started working with David Mendel, the leading decorative artist in the 1980s in conjunction with Colefax and Fowler.

In 1988 Jason founded Alternative Interiors with Jonathan Brunson and they led the way in paint finishes working for the late Michael Winner, Sir Tim Rice and The Richard Green Galleries.

Following the resurgence of Venetian polished plaster finishes in some of the most prestigious projects Jason is now one of the leading experts in repairing and assisting plaster finishers to provide a seamless quality. He also continues with his decorative effects. Recent clients have included the Abu Dhabi royal family, Louis Vuitton Stores, Sir Rod Stewart and Jamie Rednapp.
